彡 Out of his brothers, "Mikey" is the happy-go-lucky goofball, upbeat and good natured. He likes to enjoy the good things in life rather then dwell on the more depressing aspects like his brothers have a habit of doing from time to time. Then he has to take it upon himself to cheer them up, and because of his child-like nature he's been dubbed the 'baby brother' even though they are technically all around the same age.

Mikey simply laughs off most insults that are thrown his way and prefers to take a more light-hearted approach to solving problems. . The other Turtles often become frustrated with his constant need to downplay and joke around during a serious situation, and it is this attitude that causes most of the conflicts between Michelangelo and his brothers

He has an unparalleled level of perception to the feelings of those around him and, as a result, feels a very real and serious need to help those he believes are less fortunate than himself. Although a well-trained ninja, Mikey is primarily a social being and lacks the discipline of Leonardo, the relentless ferocity of Raphael, and the quick mind of Donatello. However, Michelangelo more than makes up for these losses with the endless amounts of energy and fierce determination as he fights alongside his brothers.

S1 limitations: Being that Mikey is a turtle and there for an poikilothermic being(omg 'cold-blooded- is out dated! everything i learned in science class was a lie!), he is going to have trouble moving as fast when he's cold. He'd be fine as long as he can stay warm, but he'd have to be able to maintain that steadily. He can maintain his body temperature for a time, but it will gradually begin to decrease by the end of the day unless he's in a constant area of warmth.

彡 Seventeen years ago a truck driving out of control had to swerve to avoid collision with a blind man. The jolt shook free a parcel of its cargo -- a glass canister containing mutanagenic material. The jar bounced a good distance until it struck a glass aquarium in the hands of a small boy named Chet. The bowl shattered, dropping all four of his baby turtles into an open manhole, along with the canister. As it hit the sewer floor, the container oozed a sticky liquid that covered the unharmed turtles. Splinter -an pet rat that was abandoned after his master's murder- saw the whole ordeal and attempted to clean them off. The next few days brought Splinter some astonishment; they had all begun to grow in size and he grew most in intellect.

After several years, the turtles and Splinter had reached maturity. Their growth level had slowed dramatically -- the turtles at the teenage level and Splinter at the middle age level. Splinter being older at the time of mutation and being mammalian, grew much more rapidly. He began training the Turtles in the art of Ninja -as he had learned from watching his master-, in order to avenge his master's slaying. Splinter found a discarded Renaissance book in the sewer and decided to name the turtles after his four favorite artists -- Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michaelangelo.

From their home in the sewers of Manhattan, they battled petty criminals, evil megalomaniacs, and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society at large.
